Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 1 October 2026. The rules that keep the network fast, clean and lawful for every customer.
Purpose
This policy applies to every service and forms part of the Terms of Service. You are responsible for all activity on your server, including activity by your own users and by anyone who gains access through software you run.
Illegal content and activity
Do not use the services for anything illegal in the country where the server is located or in [Country or state whose law applies]. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material of any kind, which we report to the authorities
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights
- Fraud, phishing, fake shops and impersonation of other organizations
- Selling or distributing illegal goods, stolen data or malware
- Content that incites violence or terrorism
Network abuse
- Denial of service attacks, or hosting tools that launch them against third parties
- Scanning, probing or attacking systems you do not own or have written permission to test
- Operating open proxies or open mail relays
- Forging packet headers or IP addresses
- Running botnet command and control servers
Email and spam
Send email only to people who agreed to receive it, include a working unsubscribe link in bulk messages, and follow the anti spam laws of your recipients. Outbound SMTP may be restricted on new accounts until the account is verified.
Security testing
Security tools, including those on Kali Linux, may be used only against systems you own or are authorized in writing to test. Keep that authorization available, as we may ask for it when we receive a report.
Resource use
Use the resources of your plan freely. We may limit a server that harms the stability of the host or network, for example through sustained disk activity that degrades other customers, and will contact you to agree a fix such as a larger plan.
Cryptocurrency mining is not allowed on shared CPU plans.
How we handle violations
When we receive a report or detect abuse, we usually notify you and give you time to fix the issue. For serious or ongoing harm, such as an active attack, illegal content involving children or a compromised server sending spam, we may suspend the service immediately. Repeated violations lead to termination without refund.
Reporting abuse
Report abuse coming from our network to abuse@example.com or follow the Abuse and Copyright Policy. Include the IP address, a timestamp with time zone and evidence such as log lines or message headers.
