How to pick a plan size

Start from the memory your software needs, because running out of memory hurts more than running short on CPU. A small WordPress site or a VPN fits comfortably in the smallest plan. A busy online store, a control panel such as cPanel, or a few Docker containers usually wants the second or third size.

Databases, game servers with many players and build servers benefit from the larger plans with more vCPU cores. If you are unsure, start one size down and upgrade when monitoring shows memory above about 80 percent most of the day.

  • Lane 1: personal sites, VPNs, bots and test environments
  • Lane 2: business websites, small stores, Node.js or Python apps
  • Lane 3: control panels hosting several sites, busy stores, game servers
  • Lane 4: databases, CI runners, larger game communities
  • Lane 5: heavy databases, many containers, demanding Windows workloads

What the price includes

Every plan includes a dedicated IPv4 address, IPv6, NVMe storage, snapshots, access to every operating system image and the client area. There is no setup fee and no charge for reinstalling the operating system.

Windows Server plans add a fixed $8 a month for the license. Software licenses that belong to a third party, such as cPanel or Plesk, are bought from that vendor and are not part of the plan price.
